About Me

To empower educators with the knowledge, skills, and inspiration to create transformative learning experiences that foster equity, innovation, and a lifelong love of learning.

The best teachers are those who show you where to look but don’t tell you what to see.”

– Alexandra K. Trenfor

I believe that education is a lifelong journey of discovery, where both the teacher and the student are constantly learning and evolving. My own journey in education has been a testament to this philosophy, marked by a constant hunger for knowledge and a passion for creating transformative learning experiences.

My initial years as an educator were spent in Title I schools, working with students with diverse learning needs, including multilingual learners. This experience was foundational to my development as an educator. It challenged me to adapt my instruction to meet individual needs, to leverage students’ cultural and linguistic assets, and to create a classroom culture where everyone felt a sense of belonging. It was during this time that I truly grasped the power of equitable practices and the transformative impact they can have on student learning. This understanding led me to pursue instructional coaching, where I could support other educators in developing their own equitable teaching practices.

I’ve always been passionate about supporting teachers and helping them grow. That’s why I moved into the world of curriculum development and professional learning. At Stile Education, I wore many hats. I designed and delivered engaging training, onboarding, and professional development programs, helped schools implement new initiatives, conducted research to assess the effectiveness of our programs, and served as the resident expert on K-12 education. This allowed me to use my knowledge of educational technology, instructional design, and adult learning to create valuable learning experiences for educators and shape the direction of our professional learning program. I also had the opportunity to contribute to exciting projects like the PBL Middle School Math Series for the Buck Institute for Education and develop SEL curriculum as a consultant for Satchel Pulse.

I’m a lifelong learner with a deep-seated curiosity about the world and a constant desire to expand my knowledge and skills. This drive has led me to explore different facets of education, from classroom teaching to instructional coaching, curriculum development, and professional learning. My doctoral studies in Educational Technology, with a focus on K12 technology integration and instructional design, further fueled my passion for research-informed practice and innovation in education. I’ve also sought out experiences in diverse content areas, including literacy, math, science, and SEL, to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the educational landscape. I believe that this ongoing pursuit of knowledge and growth makes me a more effective educator and empowers me to better support and inspire other educators on their own learning journeys.
